We require a login so as to protect our children. Details of our events are only provided to registered or potential Pack 282 Scouts. Please email us to request a valid login.

Some of our families have had a problem logging in to our Pack website. They enter a Login Name and Password, and the website accepts it ("Hello, Johnny"), but when they click on "Calendar", they are sent back to the login page.

This is probably because the browser is not storing/accepting "cookies". ("Cookies" are a way for websites to remember your login.) Here's how to fix it for Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

Microsoft Internet Explorer Users

If you use, Microsoft Internet Explorer, you'll notice a "no entry" type icon at the bottom of the screen.

  1. On the menu bar, click "Tools", "Internet Options...".
  2. At the top of the window, there's a set of "tabs". Click on the "Privacy" tab.
  3. Click on the "Sites..." button.
  4. In the "Address of Web site:" field, enter "cubscoutpack282.org" then click "Allow". Repeat for "nwsc.org". It should show these sites under "Domain" column with "Always Allow" under "Setting" column.
  5. Click "ok" to get back to the browser.
Now, when you go to our website, the "no entry" icon should be gone and you should be able to log in without problem.

Mozilla Firefox Users

If you use, Mozilla Firefox...

  1. On the menu bar, click "Tools", "Options...".
  2. At the left or along the top of the window, there's a set of "tabs". Click on the "Privacy" tab. If necessary, click on the "+" next to "Cookies" to show those options.
  3. You can do one of two things here (depending on how paranoid you are)...
    • To enable cookies for ALL websites: Click on the box next to "Allow sites to set cookies" so that it has a check mark in it.
    • To enable cookies for JUST OUR website: Leave "Allow sites to set cookies" unchecked, and click on the "Exceptions" button. Next, in the "Address of Web site:" field, enter "cubscoutpack282.org" then click "Allow". Repeat for "nwsc.org". It should show these names under "Site" column with "Allow" under "Status" column.
  4. Click "ok", "close" etc to get back to the browser.
